About Johns Hopkins University

Johns Hopkins University, also referred to as Johns Hopkins, JHU, or simply Hopkins, is a private research university based in Baltimore, which is the largest city and cultural center in the US state of Maryland, and, the largest independent city in the US, its population being estimated at a number of more than 637 000 inhabitants (2009).
